UPDATE: First confirmed COVID-19 case reported in Montgomery County rescinded

An afternoon report of  the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in Montgomery County has apparently been rescinded by the Arkansas Department of Health.

mcnews.online initial report of a confirmed case in Montgomery County was based on information found on the ADH website. The map where the case was being reported has since been changed to reflect no confirmed cases.

No details are known at this time regarding the case. More details should be available tomorrow.

There are currently 21 negative tests reported in Montgomery County.

As a whole Arkansas has reported 2,599 cases as of Thursday, April 23. There have been 34,551 tests administered in Arkansas with 31,952 negative cases reported.

There have been 45 deaths reported and 902 patients reported to have recovered.
