Montgomery County residents will get the opportunity to make their voices heard as they take to the polls Tuesday, March 3, to vote in the 2020 Presidential Primary Election.
A move from May to March in recent years allows Arkansas voters to be a part of what is known as “Super Tuesday.” Arkansas joins Alabama, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia as they cast votes on March 3. 1,357 of the 3,979 pledged delegates to be awarded to the candidates in the Democratic primaries will be allotted on Super Tuesday.
The Primary Election will be held Tuesday, March 3 from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Votes are cast in voting Centers which include: Mount Tabor Church, Lake Ouachita Baptist Church, Montgomery County Annex, Norman City Hall and Pencil Bluff Fire Station.
The use of voting centers allows registered voters the ease of voting anywhere in the county. While there are fewer voting centers than precincts, voters aren’t required to vote in their precinct.
Early voting for the primary election in Montgomery County Began Tuesday, February 18 and will continue through Monday, March 2, at the Montgomery County Courthouse Annex Building located at 117 Ray Drive in Mount Ida.
Early voting hours will be from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both Saturdays. Early voting will end Monday, March 2 at 5 p.m.
Most of the contested statewide elections are judicial positions.
