Norman water users asked to conserve water

Norman Mayor Tammy Whisenhunt has asked that all Norman Waterworks customers please conserve their water usage while Glenwood works on leaks in their system.
Norman Waterworks purchases their water from Glenwood. As a result anytime there is a problem in Glenwood it has the opportunity to affect water supply in Norman.
Mayor Whisenhunt stated in a Facebook post the Glenwood had turned their water off earlier Thursday to work on leaks. As a result, the water supply in the tower that feeds water to Norman is running low. She stressed that Norman is not currently out of water, but water in storage can be depleted quickly if not conserved.
She also asks that people please check for water leaks, especially at cabins, trailer houses and places where no one is currently residing. You are asked to notify the city of Norman immediately.
The Mayor can be reached at (870)356-9388. You can also call Donna (870) 356-9592 or Kenn (870) 490-0335.
