Montgomery County reported the first COVID-19 related death since April this past week as active case totals climbed to as high as 71. Currently, there are 67 active cases in the county and 53 new cases in the past seven days.
This brings the county total to 981 cumulative cases. Montgomery County is trending to reach 1,000 cases by the end of the week. There have been 880 recoveries and 34 deaths reported in Montgomery County.
Statewide there are 22,427 active cases. The 25-34 and 35-44 age groups are the largest groups by age with the younger reporting 3,494 active cases and 3,123 in the older group. There are 6,579 children ages 0-18 reported to have the virus with 2,790 being ages 12-18.
There have been 14,023 new cases in Arkansas over the past seven days. There have been 450,265 cumulative cases reported, 420,812 recoveries and 6,912 virus related deaths.
There are 1,257 positive admissions in state hospitals with 533 ICU patients and 361 on a ventilator. The Southwest Region, which includes Montgomery County, is reporting 206 positive admissions, 83 ICU patients and 57 on a ventilator.
Only 32.7 percent of the eligible residents in Montgomery County have been fully vaccinated. Statewide, 47.4 percent of those eligible have been vaccinated.
Garland County is reporting 594 active cases and 354 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 14,416 cumulative cases, 13,493 recoveries and 327 deaths.
Hot Spring County is reporting 274 active cases and 178 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 6,908 cumulative cases, 6,534 recoveries and 99 deaths.
Yell County is reporting 223 active cases and 147 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 4,075 cumulative cases, 3,783 recoveries and 68 deaths.
Polk County is reporting 151 active cases and 119 new cases in the past seven days. They are reporting 2,517 cumulative cases, 2,277 recoveries and 88 deaths.
Howard County is reporting 141 active cases and 101 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 2,093 cumulative cases, 1,924 recoveries and 28 deaths.
Clark County is reporting 122 active cases and 74 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 2,786 cumulative cases, 2,618 recoveries and 44 deaths.
Pike County is reporting 112 active cases and 82 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 1,398 cumulative cases, 1,257 recoveries and 29 deaths.
Scott County is reporting 85 active cases and 67 new cases in the past week. They are reporting 1,238 cumulative cases, 1,134 recoveries and 19 deaths.
