Junior Timberwolves split with Umpire

The Oden Junior Timberwolves tipped off the 2021-22 season with a home and away series versus Umpire. They split the series with each team winning their home game.
The Junior Boys traveled to Umpire for the season opener, falling to the Junior Wildcats 32-21.
Umpire clung to a 6-5 lead at the end of the first period before opening the gap with a 14-5 run in the second. Oden outscored Umpire 6-5 in the third, but the Junior Wildcats held a 7-5 advantage in the fourth to win the game by 11.Matthew Lewis led the Junior Timberwolves with eight points, followed by Braxton Hemund with five and Ethan Gilbert and Luke McAnelly with four each.

Oden was able to claim their first win of the season when the two teams played at Oden. The Junior Timberwolves were able to escape with a 34-32 victory.
Oden held a 5-4 lead at the end of the first, but Umpire was able to tie things up at the half with a score of 14-14. The Junior Timberwolves outscored Umpire 6-5 in the third and 14-13 in the fourth to claim the two point victory.
Braxton Hemund led the Oden scorers with eight points, followed by Fredrick Metcalf with six and Trent Hearne with two. Ethan Gilbert, Braxton McAnelly and Owen Hill each scored one.
