The Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce helped Reed’s Pawn celebrate their grand opening Saturday with a ribbon cutting. Owner Ben Reed and family hosted a day filled with free food and raffle prizes to celebrate the official opening of Reed’s Pawn.
Reed’s Pawn is located at 527 Highway 270E in Mount Ida and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Ben is excited to continue the community service provided at the pawn shop. They offer a full range of items one would expect to find at a local pawn shop. They also are ready to help those in need of a quick cash flow.
Reed’s Pawn also offers a gunsmith for those with firearms in need of some tender loving care. Bob Hanover will be available to help you with all your gun repair needs. He is currently working on his Law Enforcement Firearm certification. Once completed he will be even better prepared to serve the community.
Ben held a raffle Saturday with three winners announced.
Katie Golden won the backpack with five boxes of 7.62×39 shells.
Jay Green won the tactical rig with five boxes of 7.62×39 shells.
Colton Milam won the 20 gauge shotgun.
